THE GATEWAY TO THE FORDS
Having hosted the first edition in Alesund, Norway, we have agreed to move INNORVATION each year to a new and unique maritime hub on Norway’s stunning coastline. Bergen is our host city for 2026 and will offer a diverse and exciting mix of culture, energy and beauty, with meetings happening in the forest, up the mountain and on the water. This will be a very special experience for the VIPs and will have the additional value of being in the heart of real ocean technology and innovation from our partners and some local tech startups.
ABOUT INNORVATION
Last year, we hosted 50 VIP delegates and local innovation partners for two dynamic days, with a handful of keynote papers and plenty of energetic and dynamic brainstorms. The mission is very simple, to bring together a group of super smart thinkers, place them in an inspiring environment and let them share ideas and ask questions about what we can do better, in terms of superyacht innovation. This year we have set a strategic theme – Energy & Efficiency – where our objective is to take a deep dive into how these two words need to become pillars of our industry’s future.
WHO CAN ATTEND
We have increased the number of VIPs to 50 guests, plus 25 local innovators and partners. To be accepted as a VIP, we will welcome shipyard technical directors or heads of R&D, naval architects and designers, project managers, build captains, owners’ representatives, chief engineers and yacht managers. Everyone who attends will be from the 50m plus sector and be actively involved in major projects, research and development or working for an owner who is doing something unique or different in the technical space. If you register your interest below, there will be a vetting process by the host team and you will be informed, if you are eligible to attend this year.
THE PROGRAMME
The event will start on the 15th of June, at lunch time, allowing the VIP’s to fly in that morning, although some may choose to arrive over the weekend to enjoy Bergen and its magnificent surroundings. The schedule will include some interesting technology sessions, hosted within R&D centre and innovation centres, powerful keynotes on top of the mountains or in the forest, and plenty of workshops and brainstorms in the outdoors, amongst the trees, by lakes and on the rocks. This is more about how the location inspires the conversation and changes your perspective, Bergen is one of those maritime hubs that will energise the VIPs with its approach to innovation and deliver a unique environment and stunning scenery, combined with some excellent hospitality and maybe some seafood.
